Data Collection and Usage

Rapidus Share is designed with privacy as a core principle. We collect minimal data and prioritize end-to-end encryption to ensure your files remain completely private.

What We Collect

  • Basic session metadata (e.g., file sizes, connection types, transfer status)
  • Authentication credentials if you create an account
  • Anonymized usage analytics (page views, tool usage)

What We Don't Collect

  • Your file contents. (All transfers are E2E encrypted via AES-GCM or sent directly over secure WebRTC).
  • Files processed in the Tools Suite (all processing is done locally in your browser memory).

Cookies and Local Storage

We use local storage (like `localStorage` and `sessionStorage`) in your browser to remember your recent sessions, UI preferences (like dark mode), and locally processed files before downloading.

We may use cookies to manage user authentication and to support personalized advertising (e.g., Google AdSense). You can manage your cookie preferences through our consent banner or your browser settings.

Third-Party Services

We use carefully selected external services to provide reliable functionality:

  • Cloudflare R2: Used for our "Cloud Link" feature to securely store encrypted file blobs until they expire. We cannot read the stored blobs.
  • Plausible Analytics: A privacy-first, cookieless analytics tool to measure site traffic.
  • Google AdSense: Used to display advertisements. AdSense uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website or other websites.
  • Razorpay: Integrated for optional premium features (currently disabled).
